More skiing at Mt Snow last weekend. It's starting to get ridiculous though. Too many skiers and too many assholes from New York. I'm done with it. Actually, one more time President's Weekend but I probably won't do any liftserve skiing.

Jimmy and I mounted up some Swiss Military issue Fritschi alpine touring bindings to an old pair of Atomics I had. They're 198s so a little long for touring but it will be fun to get used to the weirdo bindings. Basically the heel is free like with telemark bindings but it pivots at the front of the boot rather than at the ball of the foot. So you can skin up with a free heel, but then lock in on the way down. My alpine race boots are way too stiff for efficient skinning so I'll probably just practice the downhill this weekend. It looks like we're getting dumped on this week so there should be plenty of snow.
